Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili will meet with his Bulgarian counterpart Mariya Gabriel on Friday in Sofia, where the officials will discuss bilateral cooperation, prospects for further strengthening of ties and Tbilisi’s European integration goals and prospects, the Georgian foreign office said.
After the face-to-face meeting, the FMs will host a joint press briefing, the press office added, and noted the discussion would be mainly focused on bilateral political, trade, economic, tourism and culture cooperation.
The Georgian official will brief his colleague about his Government's efforts to meet the conditions outlined by the European Union last year for granting Tbilisi its membership candidate status in December.
While in Sofia, the Georgian FM will also visit the Institute of Technology on Friday.
