Georgian PM, new Ambassador to Bulgaria review cooperation prospects between states

Cooperation between Georgia and Bulgaria and prospects for further strengthening of existing ties were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Otar Berdzenishvili, the country’s newly appointed Ambassador to Bulgaria.

The discussion at the Government office also reviewed priority directions of bilateral cooperation between the states. 

Berdzenishvili previously served as Georgia’s Ambassador to Korea and Brazil, and also represented the country to the Association of Caribbean States, after taking high posts in the country’s ministries of defence and foreign affairs. 

The diplomat also served as an attaché in the Georgian Embassy in the United States, Canada and Mexico, before assuming the duties of the First Secretary.
