Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday said Georgia enjoyed “crucial importance” in the development of the Middle Corridor, a logistics route connecting Central Asia and China to Europe via the South Caucasus.
The comment came on the sidelines of the third European Political Community Summit in Spain, where the PM highlighted the role of the state.
This project will not be possible if Georgia is not strong [and] stable, and [if] there is no peace with us. Our country is of great importance. It is important for Europe and for our international community in general”, Garibashvili said.
He also called the country “a very important player in the region” and noted it had “absolutely harmonious” relations with “all countries in the region, be it Azerbaijan, Armenia or Turkey”.
