Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Monday hosted his Uzbek counterpart Abdulla Aripov at an official dinner.

The officials discussed the “historical and cultural” ties between the countries in an informal environment, the Government Administration said.

Earlier the Government heads reviewed the main areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Garibashvili thanked the visiting official for supporting Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders, as well as the policy of non-recognition of the Russian-occupied territories of the country.

Following the meeting in an extended format, the Government heads signed the 2023-2024 action plan of joint practical measures for the development of bilateral cooperation.
