Georgian Vice Parliament Speaker says country “doing its utmost” to support Ukraine, wishes peace, territorial integrity

Georgian Vice Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze on Thursday said Georgia “has been doing its utmost” to support Ukraine amid the ongoing war and wished the latter the “return of the peaceful days soon” and restoration of territorial integrity.

Commenting on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statement, in which on Wednesday he said “by Ukraine’s victory over Russia, a number of countries, including Georgia, Moldova, Belarus and the countries of Caucasus region and Baltic will also be winning the war”, Talakvadze emphasised that as the Associated Trio countries, Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova shared the “common goals”.

He said the Associated Trio countries’ goal was to join the European Union and protect the European security architecture, adding "We welcome each country's progress on the path of European integration”.
