Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs on Wednesday said police officers had arrested an individual for an assault on a reporter in the Black Sea city of Batumi earlier today.
Adjara TV and Radio, the outlet represented by the journalist, said the offender had physically attacked Koba Fartenadze near the radio channel’s offices in the city.
Fartenadze and witnesses of the incident were interviewed by police following the incident, with the media outlet saying the motive for the alleged assault was unknown at the time of the reports.
Georgia’s Special Investigation Service on Friday said it had arrested one individual for an assault on a TV Pirveli journalist earlier this week.
