Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, together with the parliamentary delegation, will arrive in Malta and Italy on a six-day visit, the Parliament press office said on Sunday.
As part of the working visits from Sunday to Friday, Papuashvili is set to hold meetings with his Maltese counterpart and the President of Malta, as well as members of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the Maltese Parliament.
Georgian Parliament Speaker and the country’s delegation will meet with Lorenzo Fontana, the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy and Gian Marco Centinaio, the Vice-President of the Senate, as well as Raffaele Fitto, the Minister for European Affairs and Edmondo Cirielli, the Deputy Foreign Minister.
The meetings are also planned with the Prefect of the Dicastery of the Eastern Churches and the Secretary of State of the Holy See in the Vatican Apostolic Palace.
During the visit to Italy, the delegation will also meet the members of the Italy-Georgia parliamentary friendship group and the representatives of the Georgian diaspora.
