The 57th annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank will be held next year in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi, the Ministry of Finance announced on Thursday.
Georgia officially took over the status of the Host Country during today’s Business Session of the ADB Board of Governors, hosted as part of this year’s Annual Meeting in Incheon, South Korea.

Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili, involved in the Meeting, welcomed the status for Georgia as an “important recognition” of projects and reforms the country has been implementing with the support of the ADB.
The Ministry of Finance also announced Khutsishvili would head the ADB Board of Directors over the next year.
A national stand promoted Georgia’s Host Country role in Incheon, with a culture event set to be held on Friday to mark the transfer of the status.
Tbilisi will host the 2024 ADB Annual Meeting between May 2-5.
