Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Friday discussed the Government's ongoing preparations for hosting the 57th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank in Tbilisi in May.

The meeting of the Government Commission chaired by the PM, created to organise the event, saw Garibashvili instruct state agencies to ensure conduct of the international event “at a high level”, the Government press office said.

The meeting will bring together about 4,000 high-ranking delegations and officials from 68 countries, including the ADB President, vice-presidents and executive directors, along with representatives of international financial institutions, the private sector, members of domestic and foreign civil sectors, and international and local media.

The Commission meeting noted the event would be used to “further promote” the country’s investment and tourism potential and opportunities, as well as domestic reforms.
