Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, together with the Georgian Parliamentary delegation, will participate in the Spring plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, taking place in Strasbourg between April 24-28.

The session will be addressed by Dunja Mijatović, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe, and will include debates over the upcoming CoE’s summit in Reykjavik to assess Russia's war in Ukraine and its impact on Europe. The implementation of the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights will also be discussed at the plenary session.

Within the scope of the Spring session, Kobakhidze will meet Co-Rapporteurs for the PACE Monitoring Committee Claude Kern and Edite Estrela, the Parliament press office said.

The Georgian delegation, which includes Archil Talakvadze, the Vice Speaker in the Georgian Parliament, members of the parliamentary majority and one member of the People's Power movement, will also have working meetings with partners in various committees.
