Georgian Parliament official re-elected PACE Sub-Committee Chair

Givi Mikanadze, the Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, has been re-elected as the Chair of the Sub-Committee on the Implementation of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights of the Legal Affairs and Human Rights Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

The Sub-Committee members “unanimously supported” the nomination of Mikanadze, who will lead the Sub-Committee for the second term, during the PACE winter session in Strasbourg, the Georgian Parliament said on Wednesday.

The members also “positively evaluated” the activity of the Sub-Committee under his leadership in the previous year.
