Georgian wheelchair fencer Irma Khetsuriani claimed gold at the IWAS Wheelchair Fencing World Cup in Nîmes, France on Friday.
Khetsuriani defeated her Thai rival Saysunee Jana in the final with a score of 15-12 after scoring a win in her semifinals fixture 15-2.
The result marked a reverse of the result in the final fixture at the World Cup in Sao Paulo earlier this month, where Jana emerged victorious over the Georgian athlete 15-11.
Nina Tibilashvili and Gvantsa Zadishvili are also involved in the programme for the competition running through Sunday.
