Georgian wheelchair fencers Irma Khetsuriani and Nina Tibilashvili on Thursday claimed silver medals at the Wheelchair fencing European Championships in Paris.
Khetsuriani defeated her Polish counterpart Karolina Strawinska in the semi-finals in women's sabre category B with a score of 15:8, before she lost the final against Rossana Pasquino from Italy 9:15.
Tibilashvili won the semi-finals against Hungarian Éva Andrea Hajmási 15:5, but conceded the final to her Polish rival Kinga Drozdz 7:15.
The Georgian squad, which also includes Gvantsa Zadishvili, will also compete in the team programme for the competition, which is running through Sunday.
