Georgian weightlifter Ramin Shamilishvili claimed three medals at the 2023 European Weightlifting Championships, running between April 15-23 in Yerevan, the Georgian Weightlifting Federation said on Sunday.
Under the guidance of Giorgi Asanidze, a former weightlifter and head coach of the Georgian weightlifters team, Ramin Shamilishvili became champion in the snatch in the 55 kg weight category, overcoming 109/111/113 kg and winning a gold medal.
The Georgian weightlifter lifted 132/136 kg in the clean and jerk and won a bronze medal, and for a total 249 kg earned a silver medal.
