Georgian President Salome Zourabishvili reaffirmed solidarity with Ukraine, saying Georgia supported the country in fight against Russian aggression on March 24, the day marking a month since Russia's initial attack on Ukraine.
In a video address to the Ukrainian people, Zourabichvili pointed out that by resisting Russia, Ukraine was also fighting for Georgia’s freedom and independence, as well as their “common European path.”
We know you are the ones fighting for your freedom, for your independence, but also for our freedom, for our independence and for our common European path,” she noted.
The Georgian president added that Ukraine had won “29 victories” over Russia in 29 days of war, and wished success to the Ukrainian people.

Russia began its military assault on Ukraine on February 24, following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s announcement of the recognition of the independence of the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk on February 21.
The international community has condemned the invasion, expressing support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
