Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili condemned attacks and airstrikes on Ukraine by Russia during the Orthodox Easter holiday on Sunday, saying “this is Russia's understanding of the miracle and grace of Easter.”
In her Facebook post, the President noted an air raid alarm had been sounded by Ukrainian defence forces during the date marked as the greatest Orthodox celebration of the year in countries including Russia, Ukraine and Georgia.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration in the east of Ukraine, said Russians had killed five people in the region on Easter, including two children. Three more had died in the villages of Novoselivka and Novomykhailivka, Ukrinform cited the official as saying.
Russia rejected the United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres’s call for a temporary Easter truce, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Friday in a video address.
