“Arrived in DC. I’m here to attend the funeral of Secretary Madeleine Albright, a woman who inspired the next generation of leaders, a leader who helped build a new geopolitical world,” she tweeted.
The Georgian President was invited to the service that will be hosted at the Washington Cathedral and see addresses by current and former US Government politicians.
Albright, the first woman to hold the Secretary of State position, helped steer Western foreign policy in the aftermath of the Cold War. She died on March 23 from cancer, at age 84.
