Americans and Georgians are “built for a long-term partnership” and the two nations look forward to the “next decades” of their cooperation, the United States Embassy in Tbilisi said on Thursday in a statement dedicated to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Embassy praised the “robust relationship” aimed at “developing and strengthening Georgia’s democratic institutions” and “bolstering Georgia’s security and defense.” The statement said the markers of US-Georgian “friendship and cooperation” were “evident” in the 100 schools built in Georgia through the Millennium Challenge Corporation.
They are obvious in the hearts of the thousands of American and Georgian soldiers who trained and served together in NATO theaters. Americans and Georgians are built for a long-term partnership, and we look forward to the next decades of U.S. - Georgian cooperation,” the Embassy added in its statement on the date.
Earlier today, Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani called the contribution of the United States to strengthening Georgia “invaluable” in comments marking the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
