The issue of Georgia has never been so relevant in NATO, the Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze said on Wednesday.
Burchuladze, who takes part in today’s extraordinary meeting of NATO defence ministers, noted the event discussed the challenges of the country.
In addition, he underlined the position of the Georgian Government amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine had not raised questions among Georgia’s partner countries, in response to controversy in the country on positions including the Government’s refusal to join international sanctions on the Kremlin.
Our government, the Prime Minister and our team now have the right policy and our position does not raise questions among our partner countries. We will achieve our goal of eventually becoming a part of the civilised world,” Burchuladze said.
