Now is the time to step up efforts to strengthen business and economic ties between Georgia and Europe, with Germany poised to “work hard” to move this process forward, German Ambassador to Georgia Hubert Knirsch said on Wednesday.
Speaking at the round table organised by the European Union-Georgia Business Council, Knirsch called for “better ways” for Georgia to access EU markets, so that more Georgian products could be exported to Europe.
It is time to step up efforts to strengthen business and economic ties between Georgia and Europe. Both Georgia and the European Union, including my country, Germany, will make great efforts to move this process forward,” the German Ambassador said.
Knirsch acknowledged the desire of Georgian citizens to see their country join the EU, adding “all this requires extra effort and it takes time.”
