Security environment in the Black Sea region and the ongoing war in Ukraine was discussed by the Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu in a phone call on Monday.
In the call, Zalkaliani and Cavusoglu also spoke about the importance of the international community’s engagement and mediation efforts for reaching a dialogue and ending war in Ukraine.

The parties underlined excellent relations between Georgia and Turkey in their conversation, the Georgian Minister said in a Tweet following the call.
The ministers also discussed the agenda of bilateral cooperation, including the possibility of holding a high-level strategic council.
