Georgia reports 910 new cases of coronavirus, 32 deaths

Georgia has reported 910 new Covid-19 cases, 8,081 recoveries, and 32 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past 14 days stands at 20.44 percent.

Overall 47,244 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia.

A total of 6,685 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 4,449 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 2,236 were PCR tests. 

1,626,282 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

A total of 1,562,614 of 1,626,282 patients have recovered, while 16,398 have died from the virus.

The 910 new cases were recorded in:

  • Tbilisi - 474 cases 
  • Adjara - 45 cases 
  • Imereti - 128 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli - 39 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 58 cases 
  • Guria - 47 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 51 cases 
  • Kakheti - 31 cases 
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 18 cases 
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 13 cases 
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 6 cases

A total of 2,360 are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. Currently, 622 people are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.

44 884 people are undergoing treatment at home. 

Overall, 1,351,863 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,248,841 people have been fully vaccinated amounting to 43 percent of the country’s adult population and 225,440 have received booster shots of the vaccine.
