The Communications Commission of Georgia on Wednesday revealed it had been elected to chair the Electronic Communications Regulators Network of the European Union’s Eastern Partnership programme over the next year.
The international body approved the Georgian regulator’s 2023 action plan after it was presented at a plenary session, with the gathering organised by the Telecommunications Office of the Czech Republic and supported by the European Commission.
The Irish Communications Regulatory Commission was chosen to be vice chair of the international body for the period of the next year.
Created in 2012, the Network aims to promote European integration of the member countries of the Eastern Partnership through the development of their electronic communications markets.
