Projects implemented by the Communications Commission of Georgia for protecting rights of consumers and developing media literacy were introduced by the body’s member Vakhtang Abashidze to the audience of the international conference on Competition and Consumer Protection in Tbilisi on Thursday, the state body said.
Abashidze highlighted the importance of partnership within the “unified platform” of regulatory bodies in accordance with the legislation of the country.
He noted “coordinated cooperation” of the bodies was of “the utmost importance” for promoting the improvement of competition in the country.
Organised by the Commission, the National Competition Agency, the National Bank of Georgia and the National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission, the event is covering topics including competition law and consumer rights protection mechanisms in Tbilisi between Thursday and Saturday.
