Energy regulator body fines 7 companies for incomplete report submissions

Georgia’s National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission on Wednesday said seven companies had been fined ₾65,000 ($24,031) for failing to submit or incorrectly submitting monthly reports to the regulatory body.

Water Energy, Era Georgia, Hydro Development Company, Jonouli 1, Chiragdani and Gazmsheni companies were each fined ₾10,000 ($3,697), while Tbilisi Investment Group was fined ₾5,000 ($1,848). 

The fines were enforced for failures including repeat violations, with the body saying failing to rectify the inconsistencies would result in further penalties.

In addition to the fines, written warnings were handed out to 14 energy enterprises for their incomplete report submissions.
