The Communications Commission (ComCom) of Georgia, with the support of the European Union Delegation to Georgia, will train 200 teachers in ten Georgian regions, including areas populated by minorities, in combating disinformation, the press office of the ComCom announced on Friday.

As part of the project The Challenge of Disinformation: Developing Critical Thinking in Schools, the Commission has already trained over 700 teachers of 400 schools and vocational colleges in Tbilisi and other regions of Georgia.

A "unique, creative and interactive" module has been created within the project, the ComCom said.

The initiative is designed with current and modern approaches to teaching, and covers issues including critical thinking, ways of identifying misinformation, information validation methods, and more.
