Georgia’s National Food Agency has sealed 1,166 kilograms of fish deemed harmful for health following an inspection of a production facility in Georgia’s capital of Tbilisi, the state body said on Friday.
The facility under inspection has been ordered to terminate its production due to “critical non-conformities”, the Agency added in its reveal of violations of sanitary and hygienic norms at the venue.
In addition, “illegal business activity” had also been revealed by inspectors of the Agency and representatives of the Georgian Revenue Service’s Tax Monitoring Department, the release noted.
The facility has been fined and had its operation permit suspended.
