Up to 10,000 kg of meat classified as being harmful for health was sealed by Georgia’s National Food Agency following its inspection of 800 facilities in July and August throughout the country, the state body announced on Wednesday.
A total of 375 facilities out of 800 selling meat were fined for violations of sanitary and hygienic norms as well as storage conditions, following inspections carried out by the Agency.
The national body also said it had inspected 2,030 facilities selling meat across the country throughout the year so far.
