The National Food Agency of Georgia on Wednesday announced it had received an ISO certificate in recognition of the body’s quality management system.
The Agency said the certificate confirmed the “high level of quality management systems, definition of the tasks and goals of the Agency” and “correct management of risks and opportunities related to them”.
It added the distinction also recognised its “most effective use of human and infrastructure resources” and “creation of service systems that fully meet customers’ requirements and are in compliance with international legal requirements”.
The body added it had “successfully passed all stages” of the international audit of State Control of Food Safety and received the certificate in accordance with the commitments made within the European Union-supported European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development.
