Vehicle traffic will be restricted in Tbilisi due to the events planned for celebrating the Georgian capital’s annual city festival, Tbilisoba 2022, this weekend, Tbilisi city hall announced on Thursday.
Starting at midnight on Friday, motor traffic movement will be temporarily prohibited on Europe Square and Metekhi Bridge, from Gorgasali Square in the direction of Metekhi Bridge, from Metekhi rise to Europe Square, and from the left bank tunnel of the Mtkvari River towards Europe Square.
On the right bank of the Mtkvari River, drivers will be able to move from Gorgasali Street towards the right bank of the River and from Gorgasali Square to Kote Abkhazi Street, also from Tumaniani Street in the direction of Vakhtang Gorgasali Street.
Drivers are allowed to move on the left bank of the Mtkvari River using a tunnel.
Vehicle traffic movement will be also restricted from Abano Street towards Grishashvili Street, and access to the latter street will be possible through Firdous and Ibrahim Isfahanli Streets, Tbilisi city hall said, adding regular traffic access would resume on October 3.
