The agenda of bilateral relations between Georgia and Qatar was reviewed on Thursday in an introductory meeting between Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Ahmed Ali Mohammed Al-Mutawa, Qatar’s Ambassador to the country.
The officials discussed the "successful" visit of the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in June to Doha, where diplomatic and economic cooperation was discussed, Georgia’s Foreign Ministry said.
They also expressed hope the results of the visit would “further deepen” ties in both bilateral and multilateral formats between the states.
The Ministry noted the importance of further deepening relations in trade, economy and tourism, with parties expressing their readiness to “actively work” in the directions.
