The Georgian national water polo team defeated Brazil 14:10 in their first ever game at the World Aquatics Championships in Budapest on Tuesday.
In their preliminary round match after qualifying for the tournament for the first time, the Georgian team were considered a favourite before the game.
The game proved even between the two teams, with the fate of the winner decided in the third period, with Georgians leading 6:3.
In the preliminary round of the World Championships, the teams are divided into four groups, with three top teams from each group set to proceed through to the playoffs.
