Successful Georgian cooperation on “all important issues” as part of the Council of Europe was discussed on Friday in a meeting between the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Marija Pejčinović Burić, the CoE Secretary General.
The parties welcomed the priority level of the issue of the Russian-occupied territories of Georgia in the agenda of the Council, the Georgian foreign office said.
Darchiashvili thanked the Secretary General for preparing the annual consolidated report on the Conflict in Georgia, while Pejčinović Burić reaffirmed her readiness to keep the issue of Georgia as a priority in the organisation's agenda.
The Secretary General also welcomed Georgia's reform agenda, including in the field of justice, as part of the country’s European integration aspirations.
