The Georgian delegation that held meetings with European partners at the Council of Europe this week received “positive attitude and recognition” of the country’s European prospects, Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili said on Saturday.
The Minister said the positive messages had been received by the delegation “at all bilateral meetings”.
Along with discussing current issues for Georgia in the bilateral discussions, “important” meetings were held within the framework of the Council of Europe, Darchiashvili also noted.
Summarising the participation of the Georgian delegation in the Ministerial of the Council of Europe, Darchiashvili noted Georgia's European Union membership bid, its “European future” and “expectations Georgians have from this process” were also discussed during the meetings with European counterparts.
