Georgia reports 6,024 new cases of Covid-19, positivity rate up to 9.13%

Georgia has reported 6,024 new cases of coronavirus, 3,818 recoveries and 49 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate has gone up to 9.13% as of November 3 in the past 14 days.
Overall 49,114 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.
Overall, 58,291 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 36,465 of the 58,291 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 21,826 were PCR tests.
The country has had 732,965 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
A total of 673,640 of the 732,965 patients have recovered, while 10,185 have died from the virus.

The new 6,024 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 2,237 cases
- Adjara - 229 cases
- Imereti - 1,148 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 417 cases
- Shida Kartli - 508 cases
- Guria - 183 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 401 cases
- Kakheti - 553 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 124 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 163 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 61 cases

A total of 6,546 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,588 of the 6,546 patients are in critical condition. 337 of the 1,588 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.
41,477 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.
36,770 individuals are in self-isolation.
Overall, 1,040,022 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, while 944,520 people have been fully vaccinated.
Georgia has reported 5,553 new cases of coronavirus, 4,223 recoveries and 47 deaths in the past 24 hours. 48,901 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 36,630 of the 48,901 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 12,271 were PCR tests. Georgia has reported 727,941 cases of coronavirus since February 26,2020, of which 669,822 individuals have recovered, while 10,136 have died from the virus.
“About 15,000 doses of AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine have expired in Georgia”, Head of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze said earlier today.
“The government of Georgia has no plans to impose further coronavirus restrictions”, said Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze. Tikaradze denied rumours of traffic restrictions, noting that if someone is spreading disinformation, they are ‘trying to mislead the public’.
Georgian National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has proposed COVID-19 ‘green passports’ package to the coordination council, the head of the body, Amiran Gamkrelidze, announced earlier today. COVID-19 ‘green passports’ will contain information on the vaccination status of an individual, PCR test results, and confirmation of recovery from COVID-19, if such exists.
“New Delta Plus variant of Coronavirus has not been confirmed in Georgia so far”, Head of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze said today.
Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze has stated earlier today that it is necessary to encourage the public to vaccinate and to refrain from any coercive measures as much as possible amid a recent surge of coronavirus cases.Georgia has reported 1,942 new cases of coronavirus and 46 deaths in the past 24 hours. The coordination council is reviewing the COVID-19 ‘green passport’ package, proposed by the Georgian National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) in late October, and working to specify the date of its activation, Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia announced earlier today.
Georgia has reported 5,206 new cases of coronavirus, 4,648 recoveries and 53 deaths in the past 24 hours. 48,615 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 32,423 of the 48,615 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 16,192 were PCR tests.
The Polish government has gifted 468,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine to Georgia which will enter the country by the end of the week.
