Health Minister: ‘Georgian gov’t has no plans to impose further coronavirus restrictions’

“The government of Georgia has no plans to impose further coronavirus restrictions”, said Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze.

Tikaradze denied rumours of traffic restrictions, noting that if someone is spreading disinformation, they are ‘trying to mislead the public’.

Tikaradze called on the public to follow the established coronavirus regulations and get vaccinated.

Georgia has reported 2,141 new cases of coronavirus, 5,081 recoveries, and 44 deaths in the past 24 hours.

Overall, 1,978,857 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, while 940,546 people have been fully vaccinated.
