Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has met the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, where they discussed Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration process and strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
Garibashvili thanked Rutte for the Netherland’s support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He noted that the government of Georgia appreciates the Netherland’s participation in the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia.

The officials expressed their mutual interest in deepening economic ties between the two countries in a range of fields, including tourism and the maritime sector.
Garibashvili conveyed Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations and the country’s plan to apply for full EU membership in 2024. He asserted that Georgia is a loyal partner of the EU and has made important contributions to the maintenance of international stability and peace.
Next year marks the 30th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Netherlands.
