Agenda.ge team has put together an interactive map showing results of the 2021 municipal elections in real time, as the Central Election Commission is preparing to announce its preliminary data on the votes late during the night between Saturday and Sunday.
Polling stations closed at 8pm local time, with closely contested races in 20 election constituencies, including the five large cities of Georgia - Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Batumi and Poti.
The mayoral run-offs in 17 of 20 constituencies were held between the candidates of the Georgian Dream ruling party and the United National Movement opposition, while in three other constituencies, GD candidates opposed representatives of the parties For Georgia, For United Georgia, and an independent candidate.
All information is provided by Georgia's Central Election Commission. Agenda.ge would like to thank CEC for their collaboration on this project.
As the CEC releases its preliminary figures for these contests, viewers of the agenda.ge map are able to observe live data including number of voters, voter turnout, results and other figures, per region and city.

Georgia's Central Election Commission has reported a 49.09 percent turnout for the municipal election runoff in the country on Saturday, as the body is expected to release its preliminary results for the voting during the night between Saturday and Sunday.
Both Tbilisi mayoral candidates Kakha Kaladze and Nika Melia from the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party and the United National Movement (UNM) celebrate the victory in the municipal election run-offs ahead of the official announcement of the results.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has said that according to the preliminary results, the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party has won the run-off municipal elections in all municipalities. After the announcement of exit poll results commissioned by Imedi TV, Garibashvili congratulated incumbent Tbilisi mayor Kakha Kaladze and other GD candidates on winning the mayoral run-offs.
The results of exit commissioned by Imedi TV from Gorbi and by opposition-minded Mtavari Arkhi channel from Anova have been released following the closure of polling stations in Georgia in the municipal election run-offs. The exit polls offer differing pictures of the results.
The chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party Irakli Kobakhidze has said that according to the data by 7 p.m, GD is winning the municipal run-offs in all 20 municipalities. The local self-government election run-offs are held today in 20 out of 64 election constituencies, including the five large cities of Georgia: Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Batumi and Poti.
The Central Election Commission has reported 219 formal complaints from the election runoff voting by 11pm on Saturday, most of them "procedural" violations.
The preliminary results of the Central Election Commission (CEC) show that the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party mayoral candidates are leading in all five large self-governing cities of Georgia. The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) has assessed the October 30 municipal election run-offs as a ‘missed opportunity’ for Georgian democracy. The organisation monitored the second round of elections in all 20 constituencies where the run-offs were held, with 542 observers at polling stations and 100 outdoor observers.
The official results of the Central Election Commission (CEC) for the 2021 municipal election run-offs in Georgia show that the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party mayoral candidates have won in 19 municipalities, while the opposition United National Movement (UNM) contender has won in just one. OSCE/ODIHR and European Parliament (EP) observation missions have assessed Georgian municipal election run-offs held yesterday, stating that the race ‘was generally competitive and organized professionally’, but increasing polarization and negative rhetoric, as well as allegations of voter intimidation and the ‘continuing advantage of incumbency, demonstrated the need for further reforms.
