Regulations for the coming winter season at Georgian resorts have been released, with rules for passenger capacity in ski lift gondolas and open lifts set for pandemic safety.

The regulations were published in a brief release from resorts on Wednesday, with two separate measures to be taken at places like Bakuriani, Gudauri and Hatsvali.

Eight passengers will be admitted in the 10-seat gondolas operating on ski lifts to carry people up the slopes, while the open seat-type lifts will be allowed to be used in full capacity.

The resorts are set to open with new or updated infrastructure, with Bakuriani's Didveli location ti see three artificial snow-making systems, and a new ski lift to replace a damaged ropeway in Gudauri.

A new ski lift will also be unveiled on Zuruldi Mountain in Svaneti, with a capacity of 1,800 passengers per hour.
