The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has deployed ski patrol units to the Georgian winter resorts of Gudauri, Mestia and Goderdzi as the ski season officially opened on December 25.
Around 100 ski patrols have gone through special trainings to ensure order and safety on the resorts, MIA reported earlier today.
Emergency Management Service and Security Police Department employees are also on duty on the resorts.
Ski patrols have assisted hundreds of people on Georgia's winter resorts since 2016.
