60-year-old man dies in explosion at Rustavi Metallurgical Plant

A 60-year-old man died in an explosion at Rustavi Metallurgical plant on October 4.

TV4 reported that the man was already dead when an ambulance arrived.

A representative of the Georgian Trade Unions Confederation Tamaz Dolaberidze told local media outlet On.ge that the incident took place during the processing of scrap metal

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the incident under article 240 of the Criminal Code of Georgia envisaging a breach of safety regulation during mining, construction or other works that result in death.
