Community Centre building damaged by explosion in Nukriani village, Signagi municipality

An explosion took place in the Community Centre in Nukriani Village, in Georgia’s eastern Signagi municipality yesterday at midnight.
Political party Citizens leader Aleko Elisashvili stated after the explosion that several attackers blew up the Community Centre and stole an ATM from the building.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the information about the explosion to Netgazeti, though dismissed reports of the robbery.
The press office of MIA said nobody was injured.
The MIA also says an investigation has been launched, after which the causes of the explosion will be determined.
Netgazeti also talked to Giorgi Gogilashvili, the mayor of Signagi, who said that a natural gas leak could have caused the explosion.
