EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell says that today’s municipal elections are a test for Georgian democracy, ‘which I hope that Georgia will successfully pass’, he said earlier today.
Hartzell reminded politicians that they should keep silence today, while voters should go to the polling stations and cast ballots.
He stated that ‘unfortunately, we have witnessed serious polarisation over the past weeks and in the last 24 hours as well.’
Hartzell expressed hope that Georgian voters will be able to cast ballots in peaceful and calm elections.
