Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has already arrived in Ukraine, where he was welcomed by his Ukrainian counterpart Denys Shmyhal, ambassadors of both countries and Ukrainian officials in Lviv.
Garibashvili and Shmyhal have tweeted that they are waiting for a ‘productive discussion’ on defence, security, trade, economic and other issues.

Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine Teimuraz Sharashenidze has stated that the ‘Georgian and Ukrainian relations are developing intensively in the last three months and Garibashvili’s visit to Ukraine is one of the confirmation of this.’

He said that the leaders of 44 foreign countries, including Garibashvili, will participate in an upcoming Crimea Platform Forum, which is scheduled on August 23, on the last day of the Georgian PM’s official visit to the country.
The foreign leaders will work out a joint resolution during the forum.
Garibashvili’s joint press conference with Shmyhal is scheduled later today, while he will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Parliament Speaker Dmytro Razumkov tomorrow.
