Georgian police have detained a former officer for taking two people hostage in Kaspi Municipality in Georgia’s Shida Kartli region.
The individual, identified only as G.M. and born in 1993, had quit his post back in 2018.
The interior ministry reported earlier today that the individual broke into the territory of an enterprise in Kaspi and took two citizens hostage by threatening them with a hunting rifle.
Police detained G.M. after the latter had released the hostages.
