Police detain 4 for kidnapping girl in Gardabani, southeast Georgia

Georgian law enforcers have detained four individuals for kidnapping a girl in Georgia’s southeastern Gardabani municipality.

Police found that one of the detainees with the assistance of his mother and his mother’s two close relatives kidnapped a girl identified only as S.B. (born in 2005) with the purpose of forced marriage.

The crime is punishable by seven to 10 years in prison.
