Police have detained an employee of Zugdidi City Hall in western Georgia for bribe taking earlier today.
The investigation shows that the detained individual promised a Georgian citizen to register a state-owned area of 5,000 square metres in the village of Ergeta, (in Zugdidi region) in exchange for $65,000, reports the State Security Service (SSS).
The employee of Zugdidi City Hall was detained after he/she took part of the demanded sum, $15,000.
