Georgia reports 3,487 new cases of coronavirus, 2,495 recoveries, 39 deaths

Georgia has reported 3,487 new cases of coronavirus, 2,495 recoveries and 39 deaths in the past 24 hours.
17,943 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours around the country; 10,477 of the 17,943 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,466 were PCR tests.

Georgia has had 198,387 cases of coronavirus since February.
167,281 of the 198,387 individuals have recovered, while 1,922 others have died.
29,158 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

The new 3,487 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 1,477 cases
- Adjara - 280 cases
- Imereti - 533 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 254 cases
- Shida Kartli - 283 cases
- Guria - 66 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 269 cases
- Kakheti - 153 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 85 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 76 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi, Kvemo Svaneti - 11 cases
6,721 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,103 of the 6,721 patients are in critical condition. 431 of the 1,103 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.

2,461 Covid-19 patients are in hotels, 622 individuals are in quarantine and 19,956 are at home.
47,759 individuals are in self-isolation.
More than 1,690,000 tests have been conducted in Georgia so far.
Georgian health officials say that the country has ordered 4,000 units of Remdesivir, a US-produced medicine against Ebola which is also used against Covid-19.
The portion is for 660 individuals and will be used for the patients who are in critical condition (the patients who are on artificial ventilation and no more than 12 days are passed from contracting the virus).
20,176 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours around the country; 12,532 of the 20,176 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,644 were PCR tests.
Police have shut down a nightclub disguised as ‘In Da House’ sound recording studio located in Tbilisi on the right bank of the River Mtkvari, under the Galaktioni Bridge.
Georgia has reported 1,337 new cases, 3,498 recoveries and 49 deaths in the past 24 hours. 6,554 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours around the country; 3,064 of the 6,554 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 3,490 were PCR tests. Georgia has had 191,063 cases of coronavirus since February. 161,681 of the 191,063 individuals have recovered, while 1,839 others have died. 27,517 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.
Police have recorded 1,244 coronavirus-related violations in the past 24 hours throughout the country.
Out of the 1,244 individuals, 67 were fined for violating self-isolation and quarantine, while 1,177 were fined for violating face mask regulations.
The Georgian healthcare system has capacity for refrigerators required for the Pfizer vaccine for COVID-19 virus, in case the country selects the preparation for purchase, the Head of the National Centre for Disease Control and Public Health Amiran Gamkrelidze announced on Wendesday.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has stated earlier today that for the first time in the past several months the country reported less than 3,000 daily infections from more than 17,000 daily tests. Georgia has reported 2,981 new cases, 2,001 recoveries and 31 deaths in the past 24 hours. 17,029 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours around the country (8,859 of the 17,029 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8,170 were PCR tests).
Remdesivir, a US-produced medicine against Ebola which is also used against Covid-19, has entered Georgia and will be used in the treatement of Covid-19 patients who are in critical condition from Monday, Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze stated earlier today.
