Police have shut down a nightclub disguised as ‘In Da House’ sound recording studio located in Tbilisi on the right bank of the River Mtkvari, under the Galaktioni Bridge.

The company was fined 10,000 GEL twice in November for operating amid the pandemic, after which it changed its name several times to avoid paying the fine and continued to operate as a sound recording studio.

People were gathering in the night club after 21:00 which is currently the starting time of the national curfew in Georgia.

An investigation is started for violating isolation and quarantine rules of Georgia repeatedly.

The night club is closed now.

Georgia fines individuals with 2,000 GEL for violating isolation and quarantine rules implemented on May 23, while it fines legal entities with 10,000 GEL. However, violating rules repeatedly envisages criminal liability.
