Georgia has exported 10,848 tonnes of hazelnuts between August 1 and November 23, which is a 38 per cent increase compared to the same period of 2019, announces Georgian Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection.
The exports generated $57.2 million in revenue, marking a $48 million increase compared to the same period of 2019.
During the same period the export price of hazelnuts increased by seven per cent, said the ministry.
The export of Georgian hazelnuts was also made to Russia (540 tonnes), Turkey (530 tonnes), Armenia (527 tonnes), Belarus (284 tonnes), Brazil (186 tonnes), Ukraine (176 tonnes), Algeria (173 tonnes), Canada (136 tonnes) and others.
